Richmond Pub Crawl

The White Cross

Riverside (off Water Lane), Richmond, TW9 1TH

White Cross

This pub crawl takes us to another new area for the group, starting at The White Cross, Riverside (off Water Lane), Richmond, TW9 1TH – It’s right on the riverside, with some of the best river views of any pub in London from the beer garden, so that’s where we’ll be if the weather’s fine.

The nearest station is Richmond, served by the District Line and London Overground as well as National Rail services from Waterloo which have connections to other services at Vauxhall and Clapham Junction.

Turn left when you leave the station and walk down the The Quadrant and then George Street (which is Richmond high street, in all but name) until you reach the junction just past House Of Fraser. Water Lane is on the opposite side of the road between Cos and the Cancer Research shop and you’ll find the pub by the river at the end of the lane.

Please note that as, for most of us, the travelling will be a bit more challenging than normal, I have put up earlier starting and finishing times.

The plan is to move on to The Prince’s Head, 28 The Green, TW9 1LX – – at around 7.45/8.00 and then The Britannia, 5 Brewers Lane TW9 1HH – – at around 9.15.

The Britannia is open until midnight but the Tap Tavern, Princes Street, TW9 1ED – – is open until 1am and might suit those who want to stay out later.
