The Mudlark

Montague Close, London, SE1 9DA

Map

The Mudlark –http://www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk/restaurants/london/themudlarklondonbridge – is just a short walk from London Bridge station. It can be approached from a number of different directions but probably the easiest way is to take the Duke Street Hill exit from the station, cross over Duke Street Hill as if you were heading for St. Olaf House, turn left into Tooley Street and carry on walking, through the tunnel (past The London Bridge Experience on your left and the Mug House on your right), until you reach Montague Close. You’ll find the pub on the left just before you come to Southwark Cathedral.

The plan is to move on to The Rake, 14 Winchester Walk, SE1  9AG – http://www.utobeer.co.uk/the-rake/ – at around 8.45 and then The (Wheat)Sheaf, 24 Southwark Street, SE1 1TY – http://sheaf.london – at around 10.00 (not to be confused with The Wheatsheaf in Stoney Street which we’ll be passing on the way).

The Rake is a very small pub. If it’s too crowded we’ll head for The Market Porter, 9 Stoney Street, SE1 9AA instead  – http://www.markettaverns.co.uk/the_market_porter.html.
