47 Rathbone Street, London, W1T 1NN
The Duke of York, 47 Rathbone Street, W1T 1NN – https://whatpub.com/pubs/WLD/16532/duke-of-york-london – is just a few minutes walk from Goodge Street underground station.
Turn right when you leave the station and after around 75 yards turn right into Goodge Street. Walk along Goodge Street for about 250 yards until you come to Goodge Place/Oxfam. Cross over into Charlotte Place (just to the right of “Fabrique”) and you’ll find the pub straight ahead of you.
The plan is to move on to The Newman Arms, 23 Rathbone Street, W1T 1NG – https://www.thenewmanarms.co.uk – at around 9.00 and then The Queen Charlotte, 43 Goodge Street, W1T 1TA – https://www.drafthouse.co.uk/locations/the-queen-charlotte – at about 10.30.
Having closed rather ominously about 18 months ago, The Newman Arms re-opened on 17 May, the first pub for the reincarnated Truman’s Brewery.
The Queen Charlotte is open until midnight, but there is at least one late-night haunt nearby for those for whom the night is still young.
