Christmas Drinks in the City

Friday, December 23, 2016 – 6:30 PM

The Counting House

50 Cornhill, London, EC3V 3PD

Map

Because of the way Christmas falls this year, this event will be on a Friday night rather than our usual Saturday night, so it looks like a good opportunity to visit some of the best of the pubs that are normally closed at the weekend.

The Counting House – http://www.the-counting-house.com – is just a few minutes walk from Bank station and not much farther from Monument station.

The plan is to move on to two or three of the few remaining traditional City pubs, but I think it’ll probably be best to leave it until we get there before deciding which ones (I’ll have a wander around beforehand to see how busy they are).

This pub crawl takes us to the south-east corner of Soho, just to the north of Shaftesbury Avenue and to the west of Charing Cross Road, an area we haven’t been to for almost two years now.

The Spice Of Life – http://www.spiceoflifesoho.com – is just north of Cambridge Circus, about the same distance away from both Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road underground stations.

The plan is to move on to The Three Greyhounds, 25 Greek St., W1D 5DD –http://www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk/thethreegreyhoundssoholondon/ – at around 8.45  and then The Coach and Horses, 29 Greek St., W1D 5DH at around 10.00.
